Single Edge server solution
The single edge server configuration is ideal for "End-User" installations managing a limited number of machines at a low data sampling frequency.
The facility server (physical or virtualized) communicates with each machine or production line and incorporates all necessary services (acquisition, storage, authentication, Front-end, and Back-end). It allows for the application to be consulted directly within the facility; the data traffic occupies the facility network bandwidth, and in case of network failures, there can be data loss.
During the installation phase, MAT Control Center is used to install the configuration on the server. It is possible to automate the installation via an internet connection by leveraging the Portainer service, installed as a Docker service on the server (agent) that communicates with the Portainer instance of 40Factory in the Cloud for installation and updates.
