MAT is compatible with Debian (version 11 and 12) and Ubuntu (version 22.04 and 24.04) operating systems. System requirements depend on the particular MAT configuration.
Installation of the base image
To install the MAT base image, you must have Root access and a personal key provided by 40Factory called the "activation key." The activation key is a 10-character alphanumeric string unique to each MAT client. At this point you can type the following command as administrator, taking care to replace XXX with your activation key.
apt-get install -y curl xz-utils && curl -o configurator.tar.xz https://matcontrolcenter.blob.core.windows.net/mat-edge-configurator/configurator.tar.xz && tar -xf configurator.tar.xz && CLIENTID=XXX sh configurator/configurator.sh 2>&1 | tee -a "configurator.log"
The output of this command will result in the installation of all the necessary services for the edge-side MAT system, specifically the following tasks will be performed:
Docker installation
Setting up system log and service log management logs
Installation of debian firewall
Installation of Python3
Installation of the GUI for edge configuration and monitoring "Edge Control Center
Downloading the basic docker images of MAT Portainer edge installation and device onboarding on portainer
At this point, accessing the URL
http://localhost:3121
You will have access to the Edge Control Center platform for monitoring and configuration of the PC
