Multi-Edge with Server solution
The multi-edge with server configuration is ideal for "End-User" installations managing an extensive machinery park with high-frequency data requests.
Individual Edges, one per machine, contain the microservices dedicated to data acquisition and processing.
At the facility server level (physical or virtualized), the storage, authentication, Front-end, and Back-end parts are installed. The application consultation occurs directly within the facility.
This system is efficient in terms of data sampling speed and resilient to potential network problems.
During the installation phase, MAT Control Center is used for the configuration installation on the individual Edges. It is possible to automate the installation via an internet connection by leveraging the Portainer service, installed as a Docker service on the edges (agent) that communicate with the Portainer instance of 40Factory in the Cloud for installation and updates.
